Mason First United Methodist Church is a caring community of faith where people of all ages grow increasingly like Jesus and continually expand the reach of God’s love.
We are a congregation of people from a wide range of backgrounds. Our people are older and younger and every age in between. Some of us have been part of this congregation all our lives, others are just beginning their journey of faith. As a community of faith in the United Methodist tradition, we embrace personal and social holiness. What that means is that we believe our Christian faith makes a difference in who we are, what we value and how we act. That difference is something we live out in service to our community and our world. We invite you to come and check us out. If you do you’ll find an open door and discover the difference being part of a community of faith can make in your life.
We believe God’s grace is available to everyone and that this gift of grace has the power to make our lives better. Our response to this gift at work in our lives is reaching out in service to others. We seek to offer many opportunities to grow in Christian faith. Worship, learning and serving are primary ways we present these opportunities. Whatever the opportunity, we strive to make everything we do serve one specific purpose- to make us better followers of Jesus Christ. With this goal as our primary focus, we sum up our mission as a church with these words:
"Growing in Faith, Serving Others, Sharing the Love of Christ"
The United Methodist Church is a connectional denomination of more than 48,000 local churches and over 10 million people around the world. The primary mission of the United Methodist Church is to encourage the discipleship of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. United Methodists are noted for the celebration of varying viewpoints, and firmly believe that all 10 million plus members of the United Methodist Church, the conservative and the liberal, the traditional and the progressive, are connected as sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ. This is reflected in the United Methodist viewpoint of Open Doors, Open Minds, and Open Hearts.
We’d love to connect with you!
