Women’s Groups

OUR PURPOSE: “The organized unit of United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

WHAT WE DO: We pledge over $4,000 in Mission Giving in the United States to provide vital support for United Methodist Women-related national mission institutions and other U.S. ministries, as well as spiritual growth programs, membership nurture and opportunities for leadership development, mission education, and service and advocacy. Through our local fundraisers, we provide approximately $5,000 to missions such as Camp New Day, Capital Area Community Services, City Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, South Side Kitchen, Henderson Settlement, United Methodist Community House, Mason Food Bank, Baby Boxes for Haiti, First UMC Quilting group, and more.

CIRCLES: Circles are small groups within the UWF. Join us in a circle that fits your needs.

  • Mary Martha – meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
  • Miriam – meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
